Looking for a modern samsung remote config

Hello,

I'm looking for someone who has a newer Samsung TV (in the last year or
two) and a receiver that isn't MCEUSB/MCEUSB2. I've been attempting to
set up IR transmitting to my tv to power it on and off. Unfortunately,
it appears that none of the remote configs on the lirc remotes site want
to work. I tried to record my remote from both a mceusb and mceusb2
receiver, but the transmissions only work about 2.5 percent of the time,
and only from a specific computer.

I've run into this before, when setting up a receiver with an IR
transmitter. The lirc config recorded from MCEUSB2 didn't work at all.
The remotes on the site didn't work. I eventually found someone who had
recorded from a similar receiver but didn't post it to the lirc remotes
tarball, and used their config. Voila, it works.

So if anyone is fortunate enough to have a newer Samsung TV
(Particularly - mine is a LNS3251D and the remote is a BN59-00511A), i'd
appreciate the help in recording a lirc config for it. The only buttons
I really need are power, info, source, sleep, and picture size.

Thanks!

Hi,

good luck... I sent a message describing a similar problem to this list some
months ago (about a Panasonic flat panel TV remote)... no answer yet. Seems
problems with newer remotes are simply ignored.

Cheers,
Raimund

Is it really so difficult to just RTFM?
